Due to staffing limitations and possible conflicting events, please call or email in advance to schedule an appointment to tour or book the Southern Bell Events venue. For bookings, the staff will discuss dates, times, space, room set up, and expected guest count. The renter is responsible for scheduling and payment of his or her own florist, caterer, bartender, photographer, videographer, entertainment, music or other third party vendor or service provider.
Initial consultations during the decision process are gratis. A one-hour consultation is included in the venue rental fee. This is generally done 1-2 months prior to the event to finalize details and the scheduled flow of activities on your wedding day.
The main Southern Bell Event venue has a limited capacity of 150 guests. A second venue space for less than 50 guests has just been completed.
Reservation dates are bound by the first deposit and contract received on a “first come, first served” basis. Your deposit of $500 will be used to hold your date until your first payment is due. After the first payment is made, the $500 will then become your security deposit and will be retained through the event and post event inspection. The security deposit will be returned to you within seven (7) business days of the event provided no theft or damage has occurred and all the rules of this agreement were followed. We provide one (1) hour for rehearsal at no additional cost. Scheduling of rehearsal is subject to availability. We welcome Rehearsal Dinners at the venue for a special rate for our wedding rentals.
Southern Bell Events provides tables and chairs at no additional cost for up to 100 guests. (If you choose an alternative style of chair, we will ask that you cover the additional chair rental fee.) We also provide a 15 foot antique wooden counter for your caterer to use for food or drink service, a bar/table for drink service, a table for reception sign-in/registry, a table for gifts, and a table for the cake. Additional conversation seating is provided for your guests to use when not seated at their dining table.
The venue has beautifully finished hardwood floors, so renting an additional dance floor is not required.
Rental fee includes set up, tear down, and furnishings for your event.
Wedding rentals have an eight (8) hour rental period. Keep in mind that the rental time ends when the last guests leave. Additional time will be billed at $200 per hour or portion thereof.
Please leave adequate time for your vendors to clean up and/or remove equipment at the end of the event.
